Id HAIR PAINT!

Redheads are the hottest people to be this year!!  With top celebrities such as Rhianna, Bryce Dallas Howard, Scarlet Johansson, Cheryl Cole and Drew Barrymore showing off their burning locks ......... it's time we locked in some red magic!

Many people are reluctant to go for the full head of red delight so ID hair have introduced some 'Hair Paint Specials' so we can indulge in this amazing look.

Hair Paint Specials are four beautiful red tones resulting in controlled lightening and tinting for naturally dark base colours or pre coloured hair in one application!  The four colours on offer are:  Copper, Red, Red Copper and Red Violet!

This is an off the scalp application with a 1:1.5 mixing ratio and average development time of 30 minutes with heat!

Id Hair Paint contains oils that help to maintain your hair's vitality, health and radiance.
  • Sunflower seed oil repairs and protects the hair against UV rays and damaging environmental effects.
  • Grapefruit and citrus seed oils are powerful antioxidants that give the hair shine as well as help the colour last longer.
  • Manarin oil protects the scalp during colouring, and strengthens the hair cuticles making the hair easier to comb through.

How to create the look of Miss Czech Republic 2011

http://www.facebook.com/?ref=tn_tnmn#!/photo.php?fbid=10150438492514974&set=a.10150438411904974.418026.266360019973&type=3&theater

To achieve this look, use Big Ego from Ego Professional to curl the hair then pin curl.  Spray Sexy Hair Curl Power on to dry hair, blast dry with Ego Professional Alter Ego, then repeat.  This will give the hair more pliability.

Additional curling products from Sexy Hair to use are; Soy Touchable and Smooth and Shine.

Curl the top section and add velcro rollers to give volume and softness.  Leave this for as long as you can!! Eventually, remove pin curls and rollers, then using your hands, shake the hair out with Frizz Eliminator Lite from Sexy Hair to control the curl and top.

Following that, use Dressed Out with a bristle brush and backbrush the roots slightly then smooth over.

Finish with Sexy Hair Soy Touchable, Spray and Stay and Shine Spray.

Easy but totally glamorous!!

Neil Smith trials our Extreme Titanium for men's hair!

Neil Smith from Barrie Stephen Hair in Leicester is one of the UK’s hottest new hairdressing talents with two nominations already under his belt for Eastern Hairdresser of the year at the British Hairdressing Awards. His beautiful hair styling has featured on magazine front covers in the UK and internationally and in the past two years, he has achieved many pages publicising not only his photographic work but also his expert comments.

Heading up the Barrie Stephen Hair artistic team, each year Neil styles the world renowned De Montfort University graduate fashion shows as well as providing all the hairdressing for the university fashion course brochures.  This year, in a national Essential Looks competition, he impressed heavyweight product manufacturer Schwarzkopf with his creative colour work and won first prize of a trip to Amsterdam to see the shoot of the 2011 EL portfolio – the seasonal hairdressing inspiration from Schwarzkopf globally.

Neil has styled members of the Leicester Tigers rugby team, has been a member of Schwarzkopf’s Young Artistic Team, Tigi’s Inspirational Youth Team and was a finalist for the Fellowship for British Hairdressing’s FAME team.

Having used our Extreme Titanium, Neil said:

"Found this a very good strong hold product, with a very nice smell to it, used it myself and definitely washes out well unlike some wax products"

Top Tip from the fantastic stylist Robert Bell!

If you have curly or unmanageable hair and you are in and out of the pool or sea this summer or in and out of the office, ive got a tip for you.

People with dry or curly hair always say, “my hair is more manageable the next day”. Why not speed up the next day process.

Try a dab of id beach gum on your curls long or short to define the natural bunching of the curl. Great for calming down a fresh blow dry too.  Remember” a little dab’ll do ya”.
